Since opening in June 2024, the playground at So-Hi Community Park has quickly become a vibrant gathering place for families.
What began as a shared vision is now filled with laughter, movement, and connection—a place where kids can get outside, be active, and simply enjoy being kids.
From Neighborhood Night Out to the Hennepin County Library’s Llamas and Libraries event, to the City of Excelsior’s Arbor Day Celebration, this community-built space is already bringing people together in meaningful ways—and being enjoyed just as we imagined.
A Space That’s Already Making an Impact
From toddlers to elementary-aged kids, the playground has created a safe, welcoming environment for play, movement, and connection.
